  • Finished working on our Jigsaw - the experts taught the other groups!

Today in MATH we:

  • Talked about Ratios & Rates - what are they?
  • How many examples did you think of?
  • HOMEWORK: Look around you - how many ways do ratios & rates show show themselves in your everyday life?
Today in SCIENCE we:
  • Talked about the dinasaurs (sia7 p 426).
  • How/why do YOU think they became extinct? WHY do you think this?
  • What is authentic evidence?
  • Our next unit is INTERACTIONS and ECOSYSTEMS: how do you think the extinction of the dinasours relates to this unit as well as PLANET EARTH?

  • Homework: Review questions mp7 p166-167 #2-72 EVEN only. Due TUESDAY.
  • Due tomorrow: Your activities about Grizzly Bears & percent (mp7 p 162-163) that you started on Friday.
  • You had LOTS of class time, you should have most of this DONE.
  • PERCENT unit final on WEDNESDAY.

In SCIENCE we:
  • Did Fossil CSI: Your report is due MONDAY.
  • A person tries to sell you the object you saw in class as a "real" fossil. Do you buy it as a "real" fossil? Why or Why not? What evidence do you have that it is a real fossil? What evidence do you have that it is a fake? Support your theory/ideas with facts. Remember "motive" is a reason to sell it to you as a fake - this is different from evidence.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

  • On Thursday you got a list of all of your missing, incomplete, or zero assignments. You have until MONDAY MARCH 19, 2007 to submit them for marks.
