Today in HUMANITIES we:

• Worked on our Novel Study - read up to chapter 8.
• Spelling test tomorrow!
• Read v&v chapter 12......what is this chapter about?
• Did you hand in your letter?

Today in MATH we:

• Reviewed our homework.
• Remember to move a number accross the equal sign you must use the opposite operation.
• Talked about how to make words into an equation.
• Homework: Worksheet on words & equations.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Tried to start an experiment, but did not. Why was that?
• Read & did notes, sia7 Unit B, Plants for Food & Fibre sections 1.1 & 1.2, ALL of the c&r's.

ALL THE REST:

• So we didn't do an experiment today, why not? Should we try it again?
• Make sure you know what days your exams are on. The calander is on the white board.
• How can you be a good INDEPENDENT LEARNER & prepare yourself for exams?

Today in HUMANITIES we:

• Did a test on Chapter 11 & 12.
• Started reading chapter 13 v&v p286-287. Do think ahead 1a & 1b.
• Wrote a letter to someone in the past describing your favourite 20th century invention. Describe what it looks like, how it works, & how it makes life easier.
• Worked on our Peacekeepers Novel study - go over Canada & Bosnia comparison in Chapter 6. Read Chapter 7.

Today in MATH we:

• Went over our homework. We spent quite a bit of time doing this, if you still have questions please ask.
• Reviewed how to move things from one side of the equal sign to the other. REMEMBER: use the OPPOSITE OPERATION.
• Worksheet due tomorrow.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Handed in our Plants for Food & Fibre title pages.
• Got our booklets on Plants for Food & Fibre....Remember to bring them to EVERY class.

• Read v&v pages 266-277 as a class.
• Think it through on page 277 is homework.
• Peacekeepers Title page due Monday.
• Read out of our Peacekeepers novel. What do we Know about Nell?
• Spelling test FRIDAY.

Today in MATH we:

• Played battleship - do you know your (x,y) coordinates?
• Now lets use positive AND negative integers with coordinates :)
• mp7 p209 #1-15, p211 #1-3 Due Friday. Don't forget to READ p208 & 210!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Had a quiz on sections 3 & 4. How did you do?

• We had a very serious discussion about lock down procedures today. Please discuss this with your parents. We want our school to be a SAFE, FUN & HEALTHY place to Learn.

• Think about WHO is in an ecosystem and WHAT effect they have on it.

• Took notes about scale drawings
• Finished our worksheet on scale drawings......how can you figure out the actual(true) size of an object.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Reviewed our vocabulary from section 4. Do you understand all of the words?
