  • Homework: Chapter 7 Vocabulary, Primary Goal of Major Acts

Today in MATH we:

  • Had Drill #37
  • Reviewed our homework
  • Got lots of stuff back
  • UNIT FINAL TOMORROW (Thursday) Study, do questions from mp7 Chapter 3.
  • Homework: mp7 p 106 #19-65 ODD ones Only
  • Suggestion: Do the Chapter Review & Chapter Check questions that you haven't done yet.....you have had lots of time to get your questions/problems addressed, you should be set up for success tomorrow!

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • Reviewed sia7 section 1
  • Reviewed our vocabulary
  • Do we know what we need to for the quiz?

  • Today we had an "Open Day" for ce & w3.....good job to those of you who made up your assignments.

  • Worked with a partner and wrote a conversation between William Lyon MacKenzie and an Immigrant about the poem "Immigrants" that we read last week.
  • A few of us presented our conversations
  • Worked on our sketch book activities......finished some, putting finishing touches on others.
  • Reviewed Chapter 6 v&v
  • HOMEWORK: study chapter 6 v&v

Today in MATH we:

  • Did Drill #36
  • Reviewed our review homework from the weekend....did you get your 7 questions per day done?
  • Homework: mp7 p 108 #1-47 ODD ONLY. TEN (10) of these questions are for homework in addition to the 5-15 questions you SHOULD have completed IN CLASS
  • REVIEW your unit final has been moved to THURSDAY - use this time wisely.

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • Worked in groups to discuss, review and complete our vocabulary, c&r, & ayl. You should be finished this, it will be due on Wednesday.
  • HOMEWORK: Review sia7 sections 1.0-1.3 - you will have a quiz this week.

    • If you are FINISHED EVERYTHING ELSE, you can DO sia7 p362 #1-4a & 5, and READ sia7 p 363-366. This is EXTRA work......for now.

    • Be on time for class. You will be marked late if you are not in the room when the music is off and the door is closed.
    • Come to class prepared. There is no need to return to your locker for supplies that you should have brought with you in the first place. You will have to complete your work with what you have with you.

    • Reviewed chapters 1-5 (V&V) in small groups, especially looking at key concepts in each chapter
    • Writer's Workshop
    • Homework: Brainstorm as many ideas related to each key concept in each chapter --> CULTURE, IMPERIALISM, MERCANTILISM, CULTURES IN CONTACT and CONQUEST AND CONSEQUENCES - this is due tomorrow

    Today in Math we:

    • Did a Math Drill
    • Got our Unit Final for Fractions and Integers back
    • Reviewed some Math skills and problems
    • Homework: Corrections for Math test are due tomorrow and MP7 Page 89 #1-20

    Today in Science we:

    • Discussed our new unit - PLANET EARTH
    • Worked on our title pages
    • Homework: Title page is due on Wednesday January 17, 2007

    REMEMBER your title page should include at least 4 pictures from the unit (one from each section), a title, border, your name, date, and class. The unit starts on SIA7 page 347.
