Today we discussed our concerns about THEFT in the classroom, as well as DISRESPECTING the property of others. We came up with two solutions:

  1. We are going to try a "Give a Pencil Take a Pencil" program. This is to help students who don't have something to write with. The plan works only if the student gives something (like an eraser, old lead pencil, etc) in order to get a new pencil.
  2. Students will place backpacks on the backs of their chairs, or just leave them in their lockers. If we see a backpack or other item which belongs to our peers on the floor, we will put it on their desk for them, instead of walking all over it.
