WELCOME BACK!

Today in HUMANITIES we:

• had an OPEN day for CE and WWW - NOBODY did them!!!! you're running out of opportunites to make up missed presentations!
• talked about what we did last week
• got our 10 spelling words for the week - test on THURSDAY!!
• reviewed what we have learned since AUGUST!
• started chapter 3 - The British in North America - question, t-chart (cause & effect)
• Homework - finish chapter 2 vocabulary (definitions, pictures)

Today in MATH we:

• got problem of the week #5 - due Monday October 23, 2006
• talked about fractions (what are they? how can we compare them to each other?)
• Did questions: mp7 pg 38 #2-9 (on Graph paper), #10-13 & #14-20

Today in SCIENCE we:

• reviewed our bridges worksheet
• talked about building bridges, how durable they are & how long they last
• reviewed what we know about structures and forces
• READ sia7 pages 313-318 (omit pages 316 & 317)
• do sia7 page 318 c&r #1-3
